Recently, I stayed in Squirrel Drey, a cozy lodge that perfectly suits travelers like my wife and me seeking a tranquil escape. We were celebrating her 50th birthday and our 10th anniversary, so it was disappointing that the champagne and rose petals I requested were missing upon our arrival. Although I received an immediate refund after reaching out about the oversight, the manner of communication could have been more courteous. That said, the lodge itself was spacious and well-kept, with an outdoor dining area and a hot tub ready for our relaxation. the flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi added a touch of comfort, allowing us to unwind in the evenings. the friendly staff, who surprised us with a complimentary glass of bubbly later, demonstrated a warmth that contributed positively to our experience. the location was ideal for dog walking, with plenty of great trails nearby. the lodge was conveniently close to places like Pitlochry and Blair Atholl, enhancing our exploration possibilities. Parking onsite was hassle-free. While there were minor hiccups, the positive elements outweighed them, making this a cost-effective getaway. We look forward to visiting again to enjoy the serene atmosphere.
